I'm currently thinking about purchasing a glider. But I'm wondering if people actually use their gliders or did it just sit and collect dust?

I have a rocker/glider that also reclines & has an ottoman. I still use it several times a day and my daughter's 16 months old now. It's our "nursing chair". I also use it to sleep on (or try to sleep on) if she's not feeling well and I need to be closer to her. We also sit there to read stories and to calm down after boo boos. It's all what you make it - I'm sure you'd survive without it too but for me, it was a great investment. Just make sure you get a comfortable one.

I own a glider and love it for late night feedings. I have a rocking chair too, but I use the glider more. It kind of leans back a little, so I can snooze while I nurse the baby.

I love my glider and still use it(my youngest is 3 1/2). Just make sure that you get an angled footstool, makes all the difference in the world.

Yes, I have a glider with a maching gliding footstool & I still use it to read to my almost 2 year old his bedtime stories each night...He also climbs into it to "read" his books to himself too! I considered it a wise investment!

No - we didn't buy one... decided on a regular rocking chair instead and regretted it ever since. Get the glider! :)

We got one with our first pregnacy and I never used it. All my friends say its because I didnt breast feed. My daughter who is now almost 22 months enjoys playing on it now though. Maybe this time around I will be able to breast feed and ill get to use it.
