The trawler Annie L. capsizes in the Atlantic and the crew of four take to the life boat. The skipper and first mate die from injuries leaving the Skippers nephew and the female marine biologist alone in the lifeboat. Conflict and love follows. They are finally rescued and she is pregnant.
