You can't really compare different teams from different eras, the rules were different, the players were different, there wasn't any salary cap. They've done great this year, but if they don't win a super bowl at this point it will still be a disappointing season for them.

Wow, talk about an overstatement.
So let's see...My boy Barry Bonds is over there breaking records, yet, a majority of folks would love to throw an Asterisk(*) next to any of his records....
Now i say, regardless of whether the Pats go to/win the superbowl, any record broken this season should be branded by an ASTERISK(*).
They cheated and got caught. Their whole season should be void and invalid. And no, i'm not saying this cuz my team is the worst in the NFL, and happen to hold the record that was "Broken". Or for choice of better words "TAINTED".
If Barry Bond's record setting career is TAINTED, than so shall the Patriots' last 4 seasons....
It's all for marketing and money anyways

if it wasn't for the whole cheating scandal i would have a lot more respect for them. but you really can't argue with a perfect record like that.
