not really, we should encourage them to accept them self for who they are, they don't need makeup to improve themselves

No,there is so much time in later life for that, besides makeup can age your skin, say someone has a spot they may apply more to cover it,but this can eventually lead to more spots, when without makeup the skin may not have ended up like that.

No, I think that make up is for people who ar trying to attract the opposite sex. If you are a preteen than you really shouldn't be doing that.

I think a girl at 13 can start with lip gloss and a little clear mascara , a little blush but not any real make up intil 15-16.

Makeup is overrated anyway. Most adults look trashy wearing makeup, why would I want my preteen daughter looking like that??

Some like to wear "pretend" makeup! And some are in plays where they have to use it! Otherwise, I do not like the idea.

No no no no no no no! As her father you have the right to enforce her growing up at a reasonable pace, which means limiting adult behavior to adulthood, teenage behavior to teenage years, and pre-teen stuff to pre-teens.
Why don't kids want to go to Build-a Bear and play with Play Doh anymore?
Regardles, as her father (my assumption) you have every right to set the ground rules whether others like them or not. Go, Daddy!

Well I am a preteen and my parents let me wear as much makeup as I want.
What age are we supposed to start to wear makeup anyway so yeah preteens should wear makeup if they want.
Whats the big deal anyway?

Depends on what form of makeup.
I mean if your talking about:
Mascara, blush, eyeliner, eyeshadow, lipgloss, foundation, etc.
Then no, they shouldn't be wearing that.
But a little bit of lipgloss doesn't hurt anyone.

No. And I didn't let my daughter until she was 14 ....and even then it was under protest, lol!
Why cant kids just be kids these days? It's all over so fast that they practically miss out on all that childhood fun!
