You probably have some nerve damage. If its nerve endings in your hand it will usually affect a few fingers but will probably heal itself. Give it a week or two and then see a doctor if it doesn't go away.
Note: I am not a doctor- so if you're really worried you should probably go see a real one. However, this did happen to me and it did heal itself.

I've had the similar occurrences like yours in the past where my fingers, usually the pinky and or ring finger. It has to do with poor circulation in you arm. What I did was to exercise my arm. I did pull-ups, push-ups, dumb-bell curls. I'm not suggesting that extreme for everyone, but you can do the curls with something lighter like a half gallon water jug tied to a rope. It does work. I suppose the force of the blood flow to the afflicted area expands the capillaries in your fingers relieving the numbness, hopefully for good as in my case. u need to consult a doctor asap...this could be a sign of many things blood clots etc...trust me i lost a brother at the age of 35 from something he was having symptoms of yet ignored...so do it for you family if not yourself...best of luck to you it might be nothing, but better safe than sorry ....happy new year
