Where to go for New Year's Eve in San Antonio, TX? Or what is there to do on New Year's Eve in S.A.? Any recommendations?

I'm coming from San Diego, California. I'm staying with my uncle, but he doesn't want to go out anywhere on New Year's eve.

There is always a great party in downtown San Antonio, with bands, and fireworks, on Alamo Street between Market and Durango and in LaVillita. It starts at 6pm and goes until after midnight. There is bus service from the park and rides, so you do not have to drive and park in downtown.

The best to go for any holiday in San Antonio would be downtown. You can go on the riverwalk or by the Hemishere tower there is food, fireworks and a countdown. Where are you coming from?

Pollyesther's on the riverwalk throws a good party. Has a good buffet and a balloon money drop every year.
