I read the bible every day, and I never get bored with the greatest book on earth!
I admit I skip the dull bits some times, but it is all good.
Other good non ficion favourites includes Noam Chomsky, James MacAurthur, and my old colllege text book "Logic and Contemporary Logic".
I also love fiction books by Jane Austen, Shakespeare, Mark Twain, Charles Dickins. C.S. Lewis, Douglas Adams and Kurt Vonnegut.
Also "Lonesome Dove" by Larry McMurtry, the Sherllock Holmes mysteries, and the "Left Behind" series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins.
But f limited to one book, on a desert island, the bible is my pick!!!

the Picture of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde
because every page contains some really profound observations and quotes from the characters particularly Lord Henry, you could read Wilde just for an education in life.
