On the Sweden team there is a player with the last name forsberg, no relation to Peter, but still, he is a really good player and i was wondering if anyone could provide a link showing his junior/amateur stats.

of course i favor the swedes (Canada first of course!) and i like to see who is up and coming out of the swedish factory.

oh yeah, while we're at it, can someone find their goalies stats? the one that started against Canada on Saturday.

thanks guys.

Gretzky's family are all good players, his brother is talented, but it's hard to play with Gretzky and look good. There was a lot of pressure on him.

Here are his amateur stats over the past several seasons.

He's definitely a very good player. It's tough to evaluate these guys too much, though, since we only get to see them once a season.

Okay, so the kid's got game...but I don't think he'll be as good as his famous namesake. And the Elitserien is the top professional league in Sweden, so this'll be the year where we get to evaluate his potential as it is one of the premier leagues in the world. Though personally, I think he could stand to put on about 10 lbs. so that he'd be better suited sizewise for the NHL

No. There are alot of hyped players and rookies who aren't as good as they are expected to be... some people expected Kopitar and Phaneuf to be at par with Crosby and Ovechkin. And they aren't.

Um... no. Besides, the new guy is a defensemen, isn't he?

Ok... apparently he's a forward. I don't know what game I was watching.

Let me just wipe that egg off my face... :|
