Guess I'm the oddball! Sure she is a private person and can back whomever she wishes. After all, it was a FREE country the last I looked, but not as FREE as it once was! Ooops! Back to the point.
She is a high visibility celebrity which gives her somewhat of a "deity" status in some little muddled minds. What makes her an "expert on anything?
Everyone needs to read, listen and learn all they can and make their own decision on who to vote for.
Too many "air heads" base their voting preferences on who's the "cutest" or because so & so likes them.....DUH

I think that is why celebs need to keep their political and religious opinions to themselves.

I think everyone has the right to "back" whoever they believe should win the election. Just because Oprah reaches a broader audience doesn't mean she did anything wrong. I think it could impact the viewers that hold Oprah in a high place, and really value what she says.

I don't think Oprah supporting Obama will have an effect on the election. Oprah's opinion are of little consequence to me. Granted she has a huge following of uneducated housewives that hang on her every word, but I'm willing to speculate they don't or aren't registered to vote anyway. Nonetheless, if her support for Obama detracts votes away from Clinton, then I'm all for it.

Oprah is a private citizen who has the right to support whomever she chooses.

It will have minimal impact on the election.

I think it won't have much impact, other than to show that Oprah may well be a very poor judge of political character.
