No I don't. But I don't expect to be unhappy either.

I aim to be JRC (just reasonably content). Being happy is a precious bonus that I actively seek when I have the time and inclination. If you think you are happy then you probably are.

Why should you expect unhappiness? Being unhappy does not make the world a better place. Being happy and spreading happiness I believe makes the world a better place.

Yes, I think naturally, if everything was balanced, our natural expressions of being would be Happy. It's an emotion that everyone should feel, except for in time of personal loss, etc. But as they say "time heals all wounds".
But yes, I would have to say I expect happiness to follow me in my life. i have no idea why, but it seems like the good way to go.

I dont expect to be, no one can be happy all the time, like the loss of a loved one does not make you happy, your naturally sad but you learn to live with it..

Only one self make us happy, people around us can make us happy but unless we are truelly happy within our selfs no other can achieve this..making a good situation out of a bad one, learning of our mistakes and learning to laugh at ourselfs could all help...

You bet I do!!!! Maybe not every second of every day...but I am happy most of the time. If you don't even try to, or think that way....you will be happy alot less.
You have to try, and think good things. At least when life lets you down...you get back up, and try to keep smiling!

Expectations are resentments waiting to happen! I would love to be contented all the time but then I wouldn't appreciate it, so the bad times become part of the whole process. x

Sure, all the time. Actually a person can never be happy at all times so I strive for contentness not happiness, to be content with what is, with what I have, now...

I don't expect to be happy. It would be nice to experience it just once before I die though.

Happiness is not a constant but enough in my life to be tolerable

no, i don't expect anything. life is what you make it. although i do think that the harder life you have had the less you expect from the world and have less disappointments. i have been a street kid, junkie and down on luck but NO-ONE OR ANYTHING put me there but me and I pulled myself out of it. you can do anything you want so to expect is to demean ones ability achieve. thanks :)
