Make politicians describe how their bills & actions are constitutional before those issues can come to a vote.
If the government is limited to its CONSTITUTIONAL ROLE, there IS NO ROOM for corruption!

There is only one way, TERM LIMITS. I never thought I would support such a thing but the time has come to limit the political lives of the lifers. No more than 12 yrs in Congress which is equal to 2 Senate terms and no more than 10 yrs in state legislature (12 yrs if you have 4 yr terms I suppose).
There are over 300 million people in America and that isnt a stagnant number, it is always growing and people are are born and die every second and you want to tell me that there are no other people qualified to run the government??? Non elected government workers have too much power as well though- they know they will outlast those elected or appointed to run the show.
Try voting for working class people which is something everyone talks about but seldom do. Whether your state legislature or Congress, most are wealthy and in the case of my state legislature, most are transplants from other states. What does it say when you dont even vote for your own people???
The biggest culprit is we the voters for it is we that continue to overlook the "corruption" of our own political figures while condemning the acts of others. We condemn those who take home pork yet if our representatives do not bring home the money we condemn them. We are hypocrites who say one thing and mean another.

Attack the problem at the source, and reduce the power we give to government until there's simply no reason to bother being corrupt. Maybe if we didn't let the government spend trillions of dollars every year we wouldn't have to worry about them being bought off to make sure a chunk of that money goes to the highest bidder. Maybe if we didn't let the government tell us what we're allowed to do, when, and with whom then meddlesome busybodies wouldn't bother trying to buy off elected officials. Corruption is selling your power. So let's eliminate the power, and make what little influence we leave them not worth the hassle of purchasing.
In the practical sense, we can start with term limits, campaign finance reform, Constitutional checks before a bill is allowed out of committee, a balanced budget amendment, and an immediate life sentence for any elected official convicted of corruption.

I think the first step is getting people to actually think about it and decide they don't want to put up with it. In the US, this is tough because we are provided with a good life despite the crap that goes on behind the scenes, so most people don't bother worrying about it. Unfortunately, what is needed is more honest politicians than corrupt ones to keep them in check. But, since being a politician is not the most honest job in the first place (it's basically an actor with power), it's very unlikely for that to happen. I think the best people for the job avoid politics altogether. Let's hope something gets done soon thought!

It seems to me that much of the corruption in politics is a result of politicians selling influence for money; their largest influence being over the tax code. My solution to reduce corruption is to take away the politicians ability to modify the tax code by passing a flat tax of some kind, hence they would have much less power for sale.

You asserting that each and each human has the "prefer to stay continuously with international peace" is a faux assumption. that's not actual that all of us has the terrific comparable desires. shifting on, it rather is a danger to have international peace of direction, yet faith many times could properly be the reason for human corruption to a definite degree, no longer the answer. there are a number of strategies, or a minimum of issues that we ought to attempt with the wish of international peace being the effect. those issues ought to contain removing the inherently corrupt systems embedded interior our society. those incorporate the present government systems, and likewise the economic device it fairly is consistent with differential benefit which as we talk motives opposition, and henceforth the contest brings approximately scuffling with between people, which then leads directly to corruption. There are additionally many different issues that must be replaced with the intention to create a various atmosphere for people to be conditioned into that doesn't contain instant shortage and opposition between people which unavoidably ends up in corruption.

I would eliminate the candidates ability to accept donations from corporations and Private citizens...all together.
Corporations and Private Citizens who were democrat lovers could donate to a general fund and same with ones that were for the Republicans and Independants alike.
I would eliminate the IRS and replace it with a Fair Tax that doesnt allow politicians to give corporations "Tax Breaks" in return for campaign contributions and votes.
I would force EVERY member of public office elected to take RANDOM Urinalysis and Alchohol Testing....
Those who failed would be INSTANTLY removed from office.
And I would Publicly Try, and Imprison any politician convicted of corruption charges in any manner and give them a MINIMUM of ten years in a MAXIMUM Security Prison.. NO EARLY PAROLE!....after which I would bar them from LIFE from obtaining public office.

Keep voting out politicians until we get a government that will work for all legal citizens, uphold the Constitution and our laws. It may take a while but eventually we will get people who want to protect the country and its people. Our forefathers fought, lost fortunes, and many died to protect this country. Men and women fight to protect this country. We should expect no less from those we elect to office. It starts with your own town, state, all the way to the white house.

i think the solution to reducing corruptions is election finance reform. If politicians had only the public fiancing money to run elections they would actually have to listen to the people rather than special interest there for cutting now some corrruption.

Kill all lobbyists.
Do away with the current presidental, senatorial and congressinal perks and give them the Wal-mart associate benefit package.
Allow anybody to run for office who can get 10,000 signatures
Have a free TV station that would allow all candidates time for free.
Ban political advertising on TV and Radio.
Forbid all corporations from contributing to any candidate or entity that takes part in elections.
