we by the sea yesterday and found some very old symbols carved into the rock face( similar to hieroglyphics)?

this is on the costa blanca in spain. where and what do i look for to possibly translate them, if possible

Firstly I would take some pictures of them, and when you get back home take the pictures to your local museum and ask them what they mean. Good Luck

If they are close to the sea, the chances of them being old are very small due to the damage the sea does to the land over time.
