My husband and i have been married for 9 months and been together for 8 years. After we got married, i had mentioned that i wanted to cut my hair. He suggested that i donate my hair to locks of love, which i did. (but they had to cute a lot off which let me with a "pixie" style haircut, which i adore. Ever since then, he has made numerous cuts about how i look like a boy, he's not attracted to me anymore, etc. He isnt affectionate anymore....I have told him that i will let my hair grow out, but he expects it to happen overnight. i miss him being affectionate with me...to me it seems so petty to act like that over hair...am i nuts???

After looking at your pictures I'd have to say your hair looks cuter short than it did long. He's nuts! :) As far as his comments and distance affection-wise, he is either crazy superficial or making excuses. My husband keeps begging me to grow my hair out but if I cut it he tells me he likes it and I look pretty... but begs me never to cut it again. Either something else is bothering him and hes blaming it on the hair cuz its easier to talk about OR he is way too concerned with your hair and not enough on your feelings. Something physical and short-term like that should not effect your marriage or whether or not he's a good, caring husband. Tell him how you feel... good luck! :)

did he marry you for you or for your hair. It will grow back and it was donated to a good cause. I agree that maybe there is something else bothering him for him to be making a big deal out of this and not being affectionate with you. Just point ask him if its the hair cut or something else.

I donated my hair too. My husband was incredibly supportive but wasn't crazy about the look. I dyed it a few times and told him to think about it as "legal" cheating! lol
It was innocent and fun and made the best out of the situation. It was like an extended role play! ; )
All joking aside, he's your husband and should always find you attractive. Would he love you any less or want to be with you any less if you had to go through Chemo and lost all of your hair? Try to spin it into a positive thing and try to get him to see the plus side to all of it.
After all, you're giving hair to a little kid who is totally bald and fighting for their life.
Best of luck to you, and if all else fails, go get a hot wig from an adult book store & spice it up!

My husband is like that also, a womens hair is her glory, so why wouldn't they be? anyway, you could get a wig for a little while. If you think that he's acting petty why engage in it with him? Just don't let his comments hurt you, and before you know it. it'll grow out. Would you rather have short hair or his affections? I chose his affections they are more valuable.

You are very cute. How dare you husband judge you by a haircut. I'm sorry if this makes you upset, but your husband is an idiot and a loser. Get another one honey. Or, leave this one and just move on. Who cares what haircut he likes or doesn't like. What is his haircut like? It really angers me that men think we are here to please them with looks. And, then, they are the first to say that the pictures in the cosmo magazines shouldn't bother us or help give us anorexia. What a hypocrite. Tell your husband to grow up. I hope you don't get a wig just to make him happy. If you constantly try to change yourself for him, it will get worse and he will be more controlling. Please don't and think of yourself.

The hair cut is just an excuse. He knows it will grow back. That is no reason to treat you like this, especially when he was in favor of it to begin with. Sounds to me like there is a different reason he is acting like this. Sit down with him and try to get to the bottom of it.

no u are not nuts but your husband is!!! petty isn't even the half of it. what if u were in some major accident that changed your looks for life??? every girl has gotten a not so great hairstyle according to her man. sounds like husband is using this haircut as an lame excuse to be a jerk. are u sure there isn't a deeper issue with him because if not he really has got some growing up to do.

Most of us like long hair on our women. I understand that my wife needs to get a trim every now and then, but anything above the shoulders is too short. Thankfully she tries to please me with longer hair.
Don't worry. Just tell hubby that they cut too much off, but that it will grow out again. You did it for a good cause that he approved of.
One more thing, we like to tease our women because we love them. He might just be teasing.

Who's hair is it? What did he do marry your hair or you? I find who make remarks about women with short hair looking like boys are simply insecure in their own maleness. What about men with LONG hair? Tell him that IF he wants you to have long hair that HE will have to wash and condition it everytime, HE will have to blow dry and style it. HE will have to brush it and keep it in shape, IF you color it HE will be responsible for coloring and keeping the color up. Frankly I laugh at men(?) like your husband.
