I have a 1998 Firebird that leaks antifreeze. It seems to puddle at the intake. It looks like a water plug close to this point. Could this be the problem? Any other ideas? Thanks!

The easiest thing to do is go to an autoparts store and borrow the pressure tester that you put on the radiator. You pressurize the system and look for leaks.

Is this one of the cars with a plastic intake manifold??? If it is, you've got some work to do! Check with the local auto parts store, you will probably need to replace the intake manifold gaskets, or maybe the whole manifold. You did not mention the engine displacement. There may be a secret recall on these motors, but you need to contact NHTSA, or some other agency to find out. If and when you fix this engine, DO NOT use dex-cool, it simply gels up too quickly. Flush the entire cooling system out and use Mercedes Benz coolant. It will protect the plastics and aluminum parts of the cooling system best. Also, the water pump will last longer.
