I too like a guy to have hair there, but I am very uncomfortable with the idea that you can "make" him do this! It's his body, so it's his decision. Tell him what you like, but if he doesn't agree, you only get two choices -- accept his decision or stop being his girlfriend. You must not get bossy and nag him -- it is not your right to "make" him grow pit hair! Respect his right to make decisions about his body.

That sounds gay...I trim my underarms occasionally cause I'm really hairy there..but shaving them? That's gay.

Personally I think that is entirely up to him. You can tell him you would rather he not shave it but it is his choice. If you really like him hair under the arm should not matter.
