Pros are the it is convenient and saves space. Cons are that if one needs repair then you have nothing because they both are then out of commission.

Oh, I've always wanted one of those!!! I live in an apartment with washer & dryer in unit, so I won't be buying one now, but other apts. I have looked & considered. They aren't all that new, but if they are front loading, I'd assume they wash better like front loading washers at a laundry mat. I have to take in bedspreads to those machines which they only have in double & triple load sizes, but they wash way better. I raised boys and I used to wash everything in those big washers when I could as they aren't always available.
The pros are that they are very efficient, compact & no need to remove wet clothes from one to the other. Only cons would be if one breaks...if the dryer breaks will the washer part still work? If not, then you couldn't even wash & hang your laundry, but I'd check out repair costs ahead of time. If you do purchase one, I highly recommend an extended service warranty, especially for a big ticket item like that as it could be very costly to fix.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU!!!:-)

since i am short it hurt me to stretch up to the dryer being pregnant esp...... hubby tired putting the side by side, but that was too low.... so he built a platform for them and painted it, its so cute..... and now the perfect height for his short wife lol Love mine...

Small capacity is one of the biggest cons. It also takes longer for a full load to dry.
