My mother in-law has only been married to this guy for a couple of years and he treats her like a slave. She doesn't know about this but we think if we can get several guys to start emailing her she will leave this guy she's married to now.

Loneliness is a terrible thing for anyone, for what ever reason she stays with this guy. I see no point in signing her up for a dating site if she has no knowledge of it. Maybe you should have done this prior to her wedding. Maybe a family meeting is in order.

Think about this: what if the wrong person reads the emails, like him? If he treats her they way you say he does, chances are that he, in some way, monitors her email and other communications. It's what many of his like do to exert control. Perhaps it would be better to let HER work it out, instead of her children. Talk to her. Let her know how you feel, what you see when you see them together, and trust that she'll take it from there.

This is not your business. She's a big girl and can take care of her own problems. The poor guy that gets involved! You're playing with fire... just stay out of it.
eHarmony would be the last site I would suggest anyways - it's for SERIOUS people.

No, she's married. And even if she weren't, you can't find her a boyfriend unless she's interested. If she wanted to meet other people she would get a divorce. You are encouraging adultery by trying to find her a boyfriend.
