I see AMC is showing Red Dawn for about the 50th time in the past few months.
Then, Alien Resurrection is on. Alien or Aliens, okay, but Alien Resurrection? C'mon.

Do you think that that channel, American Movie Classics, is a little too liberal on what they call a "Classic"? (The number of commercials they show during a movie is a whole different question!)

Thanks!

Isobel, the library here has a surprisingly wide selection of DVDs to borrow, including, but not limited to multiple seasons of Lost, 24, The Simpsons and more!

I borrow them on a regular basis.

I can't believe some of the movies AMC considers classics! I've seen Red Dawn several times (I'm a HUGE Lea Thompson fan), but I certainly wouldn't consider it a classic!

It get's worse though! They also show:

Above the Law - Steven Segal - Seriously?????

Catwoman - Halle Barry

Halloween 4 & 5 - Okay, I can see the first Halloween movie being considered a classic, but 4 & 5???

Lionheart - Jean Claude Van-Damme

Teen Wolf - Michael J Fox

I was saying the exact same thing last night. "Is this on again?" And you're right about the commercials..or the 'filler' segments they constantly run. How many times do they expect a viewer to watch the lady scouting locations in New York. Interesting the first time...change the channel now.

Have to admit, I watch TCM far more often than AMC.

Yeah...did you see the lineup for later tonight? Species followed by Above the Law and Marked for Death. C'mon now. Can we really classify any Steven Seagal movies as a "movie classic?"

I think every channel is running some thing they have played to death today. I'm glad I went to the library for movies at no cost or repetitive nature.

The action picture occurs in Calumet Colorado, which in actual existence is referred to as a ghost city. maximum of it exchange into shot in New Mexico. I had might desire to cheat to be certain which city. EDIT: Las Vegas, New Mexico.
