6x * 2x=12x^2

6*2=12
x*x=x^2

here think of it like this::

if you are multiplying
6x by 2x wouldnt it really
be rewritten as::

6 * 2 multiplied by x*x

so then it would be
6*2 or 12
and
x*x or x^2 (x squared)
so your answer would be
12x^2
just do it like that, think
of what you are multiplying
and even if it takes more time,
write it out.
it will help! trust me!
good luck!!
