The origins are obscured in the "sands of time" as it probably originated when human tribes met one another and likes and dislikes developed.

Education and realization that we are all humans seems to help the most, especially when people realize how closely we are related.

I think fear of things that are different than you is a basic survival instinct.

Think about what it was like back when we were all in the jungle. And I mean all of us creatures, lions, tigers, bears, people. You are safest when you are when you are with a bunch of animals that look just like you, and you are most at risk when some animal that does not look like you is hanging out.

AND then there are the chimps our closest relative in the animal kingdom. Chimps live in groups, let's call them gangs. . A bunch of young blood chimps will go out in a group and look for one or two crip chimps and if they find them they will jump them and open up a can of whupass. They will even tear of the other chimps genitals.

probably about three million years ago when man was primitive...one man looked different than another and the other man, not knowing any better, was scared, and therefore hated him for causing an unpleasant feeling.
