I was reading an article in a magazine about teenagers who want to be WAGs. They all spend hundreds of pounds a month on clothes, makeup, etc (well, their parents do) and one of them said she wouldn't care who she married, as long as he was famous and had enough money for her to buy what she wanted! Does anyone else think that people who behave in this way are ridiculous and that it shouldn't be promoted and made to look like a good idea in magazines, etc? What about those people who aren't stick thin, beautiful and rich, yet are more caring, understanding individuals?

i agree with you. everywhere you look you see thin, made up women or men. i think that's why yu also get more teenagers becoming anorexic to be as thin as the women they see in magazines, only they forget that most if not all the pictures we see are touched up with computers.

Investment in possible celebrity is a crazy thing to do. You should watch the Christmas addition of 'Extras' with Ricky gervais. It gave a very interesting insight into celebrity.

Investment in relationships and widening experience and knowledge would be a much better use of the short time we have. Contemplation of truth and what it is.

A wise question.

Sadly one way or another we can not do without it and we do want to look our best. However an over interest in one or both is a poor way to led a life.

I do not think anyone can object to anyone else wanting fame but the objection is fame for it's own sake not for doing something worthwhile

I agree, yes money does make the world go round. If nobody had to pay for anything, nobody would work, meaning nothing would be available to us, but there is no need to be obsessed with it. Selfishly spending others hard earned money.

money makes the world go round. if you disagree, then you are very much mistaken.
money paves the way you live out your life. your life takes that particular path on the decisions you decide to take.
as for people on the way they look, money dictates how they give out their own persona.
