I'm 34+5 with number 2. I was in the bath earlier and felt a gush down below, like I was weeing, it only lasted a couple of seconds but It felt more like a gush than a wee. When I got out of the bath a few mins later, I felt another bit of water come out so I just dried myself with the towel and it was slightly browny pinky yellowy colour.

Since then, I have sat on a white towel in case of any more but there has been none at all. I thought that when your waters break there is loads and it keeps coming. I was told I had low fluid a few weeks ago (oligohydramnios) but a couple of days later it was fine.

Also, I started having a bloody show (which I'm still having) two weeks ago.

It could very well be your water breaking -- when your membranes errupt, they sometimes only leak and so a smaller amount of the amniotic fluid will escape. However, because there is a rupture, if it goes unnoted, and unchecked it is a potential source of entry for bacteria. I would suggest callling your doctor or midwife so they can do a litmus test on the fluid to see if it is amniotic fluid and if so they can use the proper precautions to prevent problems. I am sure all will will be well, but you don't want to take chances at this point. Good Luck and maybe you will have the New Years Baby of 2008.

I woudl call your OB just to be sure. BUT you may also try walking around a bit and see if the flow picks back up. OR lie down a while and see if you get asmall gush when you stand up-sometimes babys head acts like a "cork". Amniotic fluid doesnt always gush. Mine broke on its own with my third but it was just a small trickle-what is called a hind leak is what I had-actually hjad thyat with both of my last two.

I would definitely call your MD. Although this sounds like normal leaking from sitting in a bathtub, it very well could have been your water breaking, especially if it is pinkish colored, and you have a hx of low fluid. Quick tip: no more baths until you find out for sure if your water is broken.

Time to go the hospital babe.

I've asked that questions, just so I'd be ready for it. And everyone I asked explained it to me in that such way. Some said it was just liek an actual water, but a lot of women said that it was a certain color, like those you explained.

Yay for you and your baby. I wish you luck!

Hospital, immediately if not sooner!

Sounds like your water breaking and your mucous plug.

I had oligohydramnious myself, and they took the baby via c-section when my fluid dropped too low. You don't want that baby in there without enough fluid!!!

call your midwife. it could just be that you retained some bath water but by the sound of it (colour) it could be your waters. Waters dont always go all at once they can leak slightly as well. ring your midwife and she will advice u on what to do.
Good luck n let us all know what happens.best wishes:)

Why haven't you told your Doctor? That's the first thing you should do right now!
I have five children and my water broke with my first two.
With my first one I went into labor right away, with my second I went for ten hours with no labor and the Doc decided to induse my labor.
But anyways, yes it is your water coming out and call your DR.
Congradulations!!!!!!!!
