I agree with Bostonia...but will add my own insight as well.
What types of debt do you have?
Going into more debt to take care of existing debt will only get you into further trouble and result in a never-ending vicious cycle. It sounds like this may be more of a thought/behavioral issue more than finance. If your credit is bad...obviously you have been spending more than you earn...especially if you have a good job. Don't beat yourself up though...many many people are in your same situation for the same reasons.
You will probably need to increase your income by taking on a second or possibly third job. Sell some stuff you really don't need to gain extra funds....and last but not least...don't buy anything else.
What do you owe on your car? You may need to sell it if it's taking up a chunk of your income and drive something much less expensive while paying down the remainder of your loan.
Contact the companies of your immediate expenses (electric, water, mortgage or rent and work out a payment plan to get current). Your credit is already bad...so paying off those loans right now isn't as realistic. They'll even possibly settle with you at some point for a lesser fee when you're ready to tackle them.
If you change your spending habits, you'll change your debt situation. Until then...You will unfortunately never get out of this.

You may have to go through a payday lender if your credit is bad and you want a five thousand dollar loan, regardless of where you live.
As someone said the types of debt you have can impact eligibility. Only take out a high interest loan if it's like life or death, that kind of thing.
You will certainly learn new things about loans for people with bad credit here and you'll probably know what to do next: http://ow.ly/yVlMc
It's largely information and not a sales page.

A $5,000 loan on a Sunday leading up to New Years? Right! "Vinnie the Knife" comes to mind but he's going to want $6,000 next Friday for $5,000 today.
Taking out credit with "huge interest" just isn't smart. Taking on any debt to clear existing debt is financial suicide. Pay what you have to right now to keep the lights on and the heat running. Everything else is up to negotiation with your creditors.
After the lights and heat are covered, pay enough to secured creditors (car loans and mortgage or rent) to prevent repossession or foreclosure/eviction.
Unsecured creditors such as credit cards can pound sand for a while until you can afford to get back on your financial feet.
