The room I want to tile is 25x27, the other room I want to put down hardwood floor.? HELP!

multiply the length times the width 25x27 is 675 square ft. Add about 4percent to your total for waste and mistakes. I did a entire house and only had to go back and purchase 1 additional box of laminate.

Both previous answers will work. Length multipled by width gives you square footage then add 10% for waste, etc. for simple square type laying. A transition piece will connect your tile to a hardwood floor and you hardware or Home Depot, etc. can show you which you need.

marcus is right...however...On the tile part if you plan on doing a diagonal pattern..You need to allow at least 20% waste for there are alot more cuts, therefore alot more waste

just take the room measurements to a store they will help you in figuring out how many you need,
