That's the wrong answer. It should be close to 20.

sin(x) = 0.333333333

If you are using a scientific calculator .
Then Press shift and sin
so u will sin^-1
then enter 0.3333333
press equal
you will get your answer .

I don't know what kind of calculator you are using. If it is a TI calculator which, I believe, is the one approved for most standardized tests in high school (SAT, etc), be sure it is set to give answers in degrees, not radians or grads.
Enter the sine as a fraction (1/3) and press shift + sin. That will yield the measure of the angle.
If it's not that brand of calculator and you don't have the manual, go to the mfgrs website and download the instructions.

you do the Arc sin (sin^-1). On many calculators, it is the 2nd function of sin.

you must use the sin inverse key... it looks like this: sin-1


push the sin inverse key, then type (1/3) then click enter... it should work
