i mean, what makes us otherwise reasonable and mild-mannered adults so incandescent with rage upon the mere mention of 'honnah montana' or 'high school musical' or 'the jonas brothers' (whoever they are, i dont even KNOW and it still makes me mad) why exactly does this make our blood so boil with murderous rage to the point where we feel as though we want to stave said kids head in with a large breeze block. ?!
is there something psychologically wrong with us, or is it REALLY JUST THAT ANNOYING!?

I think we adults are just too self centered.
That is why our kids are out running the streets, because the adults in our communities don't want to provide any activities that teens can do, or afford to do. And when they do come up with something, a few bad kids will start fights, or sneak in drugs or alcohol, and ruin it for everybody else, and they close it down.
Personally I think Hannah Montana, and High School Musical are great role models, compared to the likes of Brittney Spears, Paris Hilton, etc.... I would like to see MORE of that, and less of the 13 year old sluts walking around these days, and any parent that allows their 13 year old daughters to dress like little sluts are stupid. I could care less if it is the fad or not!!! It is up to the PARENT to decide what is appopriate for the age. I also wouldn't let my son where his jeans hanging so low his little hiney was hanging out all the time. I often wonder what these kids would do if they had their hands full and had to run somewhere. They would either have to choose to lose their pants, or drop what was in one hand. LMAO! I guess you could call me a mean mom. But they appreciate me for it now.

It's really just that annoying... In my case I HATE HATE HATE musicals they drive me insane!!! I don't mind the mindless kiddy crap as long as they're not singing or pretending to ... But my 2 girls are into all the Hannah Montana, HSM, Bratz crap it makes me want to scream every time they break out into singing...
I really think its the mind-numbingly retarded, degrading, bs that they put out. It's soo stupid I can't even begin to tell you how uneducational and stupid it all is. I have gotten to the point of wanting to ban the tv in my house just because I'd rather they be reading and learning ... But I think I'm going to really start limiting and putting bans on the tv

I don't watch that crap. I wont let my kid watch it. It's irritating and teaches NOTHING. What I find even MORE annoying is the growing addiction to video games... or technology in general. Among other problems, they don't learn to use their imagination. Also, have you seen any of the new cartoons? They are disgusting and shallow. They have characters that just sit there drooling. There's violence. And I've seen characters, who's main purpous is to whipe bugars on people!
BUT!!!! Of course, if kids are allowed to watch these things that offer absolutely NO emotional and social development, they are GOING to. So, in the end, I blame it on the parents. They need to stop using technology to babysitt their children.

I'm with Kim ROFL!
I'm the parent of 4 kids- ages 11-15, so I've had quite a lot of exposure to the kiddie shows and music.
And I LIKE it lol!
But then again, I still like cartoons occasionally too.

it is annoying cus those people dont really have real talent and everyone is so obcessed with them for almost no reason cus ther singers and actors one of them is probably wat u started and love but disney wants to make u both and they arnt always good at both o and they also obcess over them so much they act like thers no other good bands out ther so u wana be like havnt u heard of _____ ther much better than hannah montana!

I also don't know those three you mentioned! I have to ask my 9 y/o who Hannah Montana is (and it should have been a "What" question! lol) I really can't answer you since my kids are not into them (we don't have the Disney Channel in our Cable since I refuse to pay additional charges!). And the things my kids are into like Animax, Cartoon Netwoork and Nick I grow to love, too. I just don't know when they get into their teens. I guess that's when the gen-gap takes place! lol
I think it's just the generation gap. I'm also irritated with HSM and I haven't even watched any!
