ok i just started my first period on christmas. it is now gone, but instead i get a dark dark brown (almost black) gooey stuff thats like a booger texture...and it dries to be very hard and it smells very very bad. i dont get much of it, but im scared. im not sexually active, and i dont do druggs.

That's normal. It's "old" blood and will leave your body. nothing to worry about. If you start having other symptoms like pain, fever or horrible cramping that you can't stand, then it's time to see a doctor. The end of your period will often show dark, tar-like stuff. It's normal. congratulations on becoming a woman! now you keep those bad boys away LOL.

What you're describing sounds very common. Not to worry. Generally, at the beginning of puberty, the menstrual flow is very irregular, and may even skip months. For most women, the end of one's period does result in darker, thicker bloodflow, and menstrual odor is something all women deal with. The odor originates from blood flowing over the natural bacteria that are always in your vagina...and it is usually always the same general type of odor throughout the period. If the odor becomes much more putrid (almost decaying garbage or wast type) compared to then you may want to talk to a doctor since it could indicate a possible infection.

Don't freak out.
It's normal for the last few days of your period to be brown and kinda gooey. That's old blood. It may take a few days to stop, just make sure you rise off the outside well while you're in the shower, and you'll be fine.
If it keeps up for more than a few (3-4) days, see a doctor.

What you're describing is the lining that gets shed on your period. Your body gets rid of the egg, gets rid of the blood, and sheds the lining that was built to cushion the baby. Dark, almost black gooey stuff is lining, blood is, well you know what blood is, and brown discharge is old blood, which means you're almost done your period.

This is normal. Its dried blood that is just now coming out. The blood is a black color because its old and has a lack of oxygen. Dont worry it will be gone in a day or two.

That's just the end of your period. It'll only last maybe 24 hours and be gone. Just keep your outside clean, and it'll go away by itself.

The brown (almost black) stuff could still be blood.. Just old blood... You may be experiencing some kind of bacterial infection.. Call the doctor...
