Alrite so a week ago I thought i had broken my finger. so when i was sitting in the emergency room i made a promise to god that if my finger wasnt broken that i wouldnt do something (which lets just say he doesnt approve of) for 2 weeks if my finger wasnt broken and i said if i broke this promise he could kill me. now this leads to my question, can you really make deals with god and can he really kill you?

It doesn't happen. You'd be wise to disabuse yourself of that notion.

OK, your funny and I am sure that you just tickled GOD, only God can take your breath and not anything other than that, so what ever you said you where going to stop doing God knows that you were going to say what you did and He knows if you will or not, It's cute but He already knows. so you are just fooling yourself(ha,ha,ha,ha) when it's you time to die only God have that power over you not man nor woman. We die at His will only that of His will nothing else. Your finger broke because that was in the plans written out for you, it's in the book of your life as we all have a book and good and the bad is already marked. We ha free will as humans that's why we have souls and angels don't!!!!!!

Well, of course, he can. But that doesn't mean he will. God wants to help us to avoid pain. He made the world, so he understands that there are natural consequences to sin, and that we will suffer because of those consequences. So, if you're sure that God doesn't approve of what it is you promised to give up, maybe you should give it up just because a loving God wants you to so that you don't get hurt.

Anything you promise to God should be followed through. Period.

God also forgives, so if you've already broken the promise, seek forgiveness.

God is God...... he can do what ever he wants too... God wants the best for you...I know you must be young... but please don't play with God....you can make all the promises you want... but God knows your heart ... he knows what you are going to do.. please give your heart to God and ask him to help you... lead and guide you to do the right things in your life... he is a good God...take one day at a time and each day ask God to help you with every problem you have and he will...God loves you... he doesn't want to kill you... that the devil's job... you get to decide who side you are on... its your choice.....

its all about what u beleive. if you believe in him in vein and you believe in the holy spirit. then i would say anything is possible, but if you dont and you were just praying to pray i would say not so much. but no matter whom your making promises to. you should follow through with them.

Just watch what you think and say from now on. You won't have to worry about things like this if you do.
