Make him into chicken soup. But really, you can't stop him. It's genetic. If you have hens, too, and you think you HAVE to have a rooster, you're wrong. I raised them for 20 years and hens can do just fine without a rooster. They lay eggs without him, they just won't be fertilized. Good luck.

You can't. God made them to crow and to make baby chicks. They do both really well though. If yours bothers you, find a home on a big farm for it. No one will notice the extra crowing there. I had one that was a pet and when he was petted, he would crow. If you held him and petted him, he would fall asleep.

If it drives you nuts, what about your neighbors. A good neighbor would take the rooster to the animal shelter. I hope you aren't close to it.

Secure him in a place where he has to perch in a space not high enough to stretch his neck. If he can't stretch his neck, it will be physically impossible for him to crow.
