I hate new years, stupid and overrated, cant wait til next week when the holidays are over.
at least I know im not the only one who hates it.

Nothing but pure hype.A special occasion for people who don't go out the rest of the year.I used to play the new years eve game but not anymore.From experience ,some people can turn extremely nasty after getting completely drunk,something about the occasion.When the clock strikes 12 i'll be zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

No, Siobhan, you are not the only one. I detest the enforced false jollity.
If you like reading, I suggest you read Charles Lamb's The Superannuated Man. A very well-written classic.
People tell me I HAVE to go out, HAVE to hug strangers and wish everybody a happy new year.
Not me. I plan on staying at home and relaxing with a dvd.

For me it depends on what i know lies ahead. Next year is going to be a difficult one so i am a little apprehensive about it and not wanting to go over the top in celebrating it.

SIOBHAN, I don't like the 1 to 3 AM stuff, but last year or this year was good, I went to the US for a visit, I was at my brother's , but this year I wont like it too well.everything over n over! Take care! Jimmy.

You Probly are most people love it cause they look forward to the kiss but i can see were your coming from because you have to organise things and if you dont get invited anywere and your not having a party, your left on your own realy and thats crap.

nope im not a fan either. i would rather stay in and watch tv, i get tired before midnight anyway. it also makes me nervous not sure why was talking to my mate the other day cos he feels the same way and we think its because we dont know what a new year will bring.
