The volume of a drop is 0.05 mL

0.05 mL is an accepted rough guide to the volume of a "drop" but by no means an end all answer since the size of the drop corresponds to the diameter of the dispensing unit, flow rate and other factors.

A more accurate approach, utilizing equipment readily found in the lab, would be to weigh the drop on a microbalance and divide by the density of the liquid. Volatile organics can be similarly measured following this technique with a few modificaitons.

Count out 100 drops into a graduate cylinder, measure the volume in mL, and divide by 100.
