I was wondering what other people's opinions are on why nothing does not exist, and instead everything. I think its evident enough that nothing does not exist, as we are in an experience of something - otherwise, we wouldn't have an experience in anything. I've heard some people say nothing does not exist because for the very fact that it doesn't and that's all you need to know, but considering we have a definition to define what nothing is, why not a better understanding of why it's not? "nothing" is an actual term, so I would think referring to nothing as absolutely blank is just silly. By the way, I'm a little drunk right now, but all the better.

you're funny :)) well, i suppose nothing is just the absence of something, it's the non-existence of something, so "nothing" can't be seen, it's not something at all. god, i speak like i would be a little drunk too, unfortunately i am not!:-s talk about such things with people who are also a little drunk or can actually use their brains at least a little! good luck!!

It is a "naught."
But here's a bigger mind-twister for you:
that naught that cannot ever exist, that nothing-ness, also does not exist outside the universe, since that is all that exists in existence.
Can you wrap your mind around the idea that outside the universe, outside existence, that not even "nothing" exists? If
"nothing" existed outside the universe, then it would exist. It does not exist; it is a "naught," so therefore not even "nothing" exists outside existence.

Its based on lif eexperience, in that that which troubles you to distraction today, you will forget by tomorrow, as the troubles of times past, sometimes do not even leave a memory unless triggered.. It also prompts the question, upon that moment of death, as life flashes by, what is, and what wasnt..?
That which seems insurmountable today, will tomorrow or in time be forgotten as so much dross. They who seem as life itself at this time, will be but a faded moment lingering on the banks of time...blah blah blah.....

While your mind operates, you have to act assuming certain ideas, what philosophers call axioms. One of them is that the universe exists, another is that you are conscious. If nothing existed, you would not be around to ask questions.
