Yes, I saw them doing this on a TV show once. They had split up in teams and had to find so many needles in a haystack. Whoever found all the needles first won that part of the competition. They had huge magnets and were sifting through the hay. It was interesting. LOL.

rather, confident. i do no longer remember the place is grow to be, yet there have been a great number of babies there and for some reason the adults had positioned needles in haystacks and informed us to hunt for them to maintain us busy.

no but i would imagine its easier than the saying leads us to believe
the needle in size is heavier than hay of the same size so it should fall to the bottom of the stack fairyly easy, just shuffle the stack a little bit, to let it drop, then push the haystack off so you can search the ground

No but try finding a pair of expensive earrings in 2 ft. of snow. They got pulled off when I took my hat off. I loved those earrings.
Several people mentioned Mythbusters. Great program. Where were they when my earrings came off?

Not me. But once a temporary crown that had been placed on my tooth fell into a bunch of hay and I spent 6 hours trying to find it. Never did !
