Such generalizations are unwise and innaccurate. Men (in general) don't treat women (in general) badly...SOME men treat women badly, just as some women treat men badly. If you word your inquiry properly, you'll get more relevant replies and less people spending time correcting you. ☺

As for those men who treat women badly, some were raised that such behavior is okay. Some are bullies and instead of working on their own insecurities, take out their issues on others (esp women, who are generally physically weaker and more vulnerable). Some even foolishly convince themselves that women prefer to be treated unkindly.

In a specific case, you'd need to ask that particular male or do some research online to find the exact psychology behind it. Thankfully, that's not an issue with the majority although both males and females sometimes are inconsiderate of others (even those who are essentially good at heart) overall ugly treatment is the exception, not the norm.

they don't all. Some woman treat men badly. You have the men you attract into your life. If you believe that men will treat you badly, you will attract that. Life tends to meet your worst expectations. If you have good expectations, life tends to meet them.

I am still single, because I see all these good men, but I cant' seem to attract them... I have to work on my beliefs about myself and men more

Your outlooks and your attitudes produce your behaviors.

Positive attitudes and expectations produce positive behavior while negative outlooks produce negative behaviors.

We all perceive life selectively. This means we constantly filter out most of the sounds and scenes around us, allowing only a manageable amount through to our consciousness.

Those perceptions that we allow ourselves then, are those that are consistent with our expectations and attitudes.

In other words, men pretty much see what they expect to see, experience what they expect to experience, and achieve what they expect to achieve.

Therefore, when you expect to fail, this often becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

But, if you expect to succeed, that also becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Henry Ford said, "If you think you can or you think you can't, you're right!"

Whatever you believe about an issue will influence your perception and actual behavior in situations related to that issue.

To be honest it's because we let them. The more we put up with the further they will push it. But we are not completely blameless for doing this either we treat our men like **** also but we think of it as trying to make things work when really we are pushing them away.

men only treat women badly because we let them, if we don't let them, then they'll try but they won't be too successful

Some do it because women will put up with it. Others are too dumb to even know they're doing it. Sometimes it's intentional, other times it's not. And they don't all do it, so I'm not a man-basher.
