Believe this or not I am going to get a little way out here with this, what if they actually found a really good planet and the really wealthy and highest educated that had all the resources took off and left for it and left the peons like most of us here on earth because they knew it was going to have a melt down how would you feel about that? I don't know if I would want to go or not, but lots of sci fi and other types of writers have explored this issue over the past it is interesting isn't it?

If they left behind something that would help all of mankind as a legacy of my departure like the cure for all forms of cancer or the blueprints to build a fusion reactor like the one in "Back to the Future II", most certainly I would go. Unconditionally like some kind of prisoner, even though my "captors" are benevolent, only if I were old and crippled and they offered me paradise and youth again would I accept.

Oooh. Tough one. I would stay, because you don't mention whether or not there are the basic yet vital requirements for human survival on this planet, such as oxygen, food, water, etc. these beings could live off of simply breathing in carbon monoxide, in which case i would die almost instantly. Also, if i went and i was in my 20's or 30's, then i would be throwing away the chance of having a family, so i wouldn't go because i want a family some day.

Even assuming they really were nice
No - I have enough difficulty with the culture shock of crossing the channel to France!

It's already happened. To me. I didn't go. I could have gone with them for ever, in which case they would have been my family. Or I could have gone for two weeks and undergone training, downloaded directly into the brain, in which case I would have been their Friend. But instead I chose to go home.

Considering what we (humans) and this world has become, I'd be out of here in a flash. Their spaceship wouldn't be fast enough to keep pace with me.
