I recently purchased Temperpedic pillows...the rectangular ones, higher on one side than the other...have never had as good a nights sleep as I have had the last two months,,,
I never want to turn the pillow over or "fluff" it up in the middle of the night...
You use the lower side towards you if you sleep on your side and the high side towards you if you sleep on your back..
I won't ever use any other type of pillow..it is worth every penny...my husband also likes them as do my daughter, her husband, his daughter..and every one we've told...they are GREAT!

)We just recently brought a new pillow top ma tress and 2 pillows..the pillows are 100%natural latex which help to relieve back and neck problems..I have always suffered from migraines and bad back, but have not had one in the 3 months since doing the change. Yes, they were expensive-around Aussie $80,(each) but they have worked a treat. Behind them I just have a couple of cheap Target pillows, as well as a tri-pillow to add a bit of dimension...I only use the latex one to sleep on though...I used to sleep on 2 pillows, but this pillow is firm and so comfy that you only need the one.

I got these two European-style pillows from a Bed Bath & Beyond store ( I was only there because my then-girlfriend drug me in there). They're more "square" than "rectangular" so you can fit more pillows on your bed. And they are so soft it's like laying your head on a cloud.
They came with zip-up pillowcases...first time I ever had 'em and it's been about 6 months and they're still like-new.
I went to see the brand-name on the tag, but looks like I cut them off (Under Penalty of Law! - ahhhh!)

I'd recommend pillows filled with fall leaves... they're very cost effective and provide background sounds to help you sleep.
If you can a softer pillow.... add Marshmallows until you achieve the desired comfort level.

go to a discount retailer and check out whats available. There are lots of knock off therapeutic pillows around that do a good job, check them out and pick what you like best. if you go to costco or sam's you can get some very goodes at fair prices. everybody has their own "best" so shop around.

I agree with Boopsie. Bought four memory foam pillows and sleep without even turning over sometimes now. They never deflate and don't even need pillowcases (they come with one). I got them on sale for $20 each at JCPenneys.

they are soft, but not too. you can smoosh them in the store to check if they will work for you.
they are a little pricier, but they last.
