not possible.
normally how it goes is that you go to the agency, pay them to do a portfolio for you and wait.
agencies will bring your portfolios to suitable advertising firms for them to choose a few to go for casting.
and if you got chosen during casting, viola! you got the job!
if not, go home and carry on waiting.

Photgraphs are a legitimate and necessary investment in any model's career. If you plan to go without pictures, then you need to be cold calling modeling agencies and you have to get lucky to get noticed by anyone other than the receptionist.
So here's an idea for you. Join a photography club or make contact through friends with an experienced photographer. Then ask the photographer if he/she would be willing to help you with their photographic services if you agreed to pay for the film and development of the photos. It might be a win-win because if you get photos that lead to a modeling job, then you could reimburse your friend later when you are making money from modeling.
Good luck in 2008.

You need a portfolio. Contact freelance photographers and ask for tcp shoots. Many photographers will shoot you free as long as you sign a release that they can use the photo in their portfolios. In exchange for your time they will give you copies of the photos on disk or print.
If you have a college near that would be the best place to find them. Contact the photography department and offer your services. Also check out http://www.modelmayhem.com
I do tcp's all the time if the model is a natural and creative...can come up with her own poses.

Sorry to say but yes you need to have pictures. Maybe a friend could take some pics of you with a digital camera and print them from a printer. You could make your own portfolio for now until you can afford to have professional pictures taken.

It all depends what type of agencies you are targeting. If you are going for glamour/swimsuit modeling, then the sexy shots would be fine. But if you are trying to get into high fashion, I'd leave them out unless they are elegant enough to look like something that would appear in Italian Vogue rather than Maxim.

I'm pretty sure pictures are a requirement, but no one said they have to be professional. Get a friend with a digital camera to take your pictures, pick out your own outfits, do your own makeup and hair then start sending those pictures out. Make your own portfolio, people will respect you for your effort.

Yes you do, you want something to hand someone in an agency, because all you might get at first is the opportunity to walk in and drop it off. And beat down the doors of modeling agencies yourself, AVOID AT ALL COSTS John robert powers, or kim flowers international, they are schools, not agencies.

Yes, I have seen several talk shows where someone who works for a modelling agency will tell people not to waste their money. Send a simple snap shot to several modelling agencies and they can decide from that. I think its also more important to be tall than it is to be pretty so if your shorter than 5'9" forget it.

Try taking some regular home photos of yourself and sending them to a modeling agency. Also put in your height, weight, and other size measurements. You don't need to have fancy photos to get in, just take good pics of yourself.
