Her birthday is coming up soon; and i am broke as poo and can't really afford a decent gift for her. But i want to give her something. She's done so much for me, and besides she's my mom, so i want to give her something.

What should i do?
What are some decent ideas?

Like...... my brother's birthday is coming up shortly as well. (in a few months). And i was going to draw him a picture of something he likes for him to hang on his wall. Do you think that is a lame idea? Should i do something like that for my mom?

I normally give them something they want, but i am seriously so short on cash it is absolutely embarassing and ridiculous. What do you think i could do?

If you have Power Point, make a presentation with old photos to current photos, add animations, music, etc. I did this with my husband as he waited until the LAST MINUTE to put a present under the tree for me knowing we agreed not to do anything. He loved it.

As for the pictures you draw....PERFECT. You are a wonderful artist, and I know they would appreciate that too.

i'm always broke too..but i usually buy my mom a cake where i would tell her to celebrate it with her friends at work..judging from your situation..you could make a bracelet ot necklace from old scrap materials like buttons, beads etc...or seashells where u can pick up some on the beach, be creative, draw out how u want it to turn out and then gather your materials..after all its the thought that counts

edit: i really liked Dianne's idea,..i think i'm going to borrow it lol

If you can cook a little, make your mother breakfast & do some chores for her. She'll greatly appreciate your love out of what you do for her, more than any gift.
The picture for your brother is a great idea & something that you put time & love in.

Start collecting bottles for the refund and buy them a nice card with a true feeling of expression on the inside that you compose from your heart.

I got a great idea on what you can give your mom on her birthday!!!

Find a picture of you and your brother (mom's favorite picture of you two when ya were young), draw a sketch of that picture for her.Title it "Two precious gifts".

DON'T FORGET TO AUTOGRAPH IT :-)
