You'd be hard pressed to even find a hovel on the South Side for that money in Cook County (Chicago).

Not sure what you are asking. In any countly, you pay for a house by getting a mortgage loan and paying your mortgage each month. There is no way you would find one for $200 a month. Your taxes and insurance alone would run more than that.

I can;t imagine you buying a house for less than $700 or $800 a month - and that would be a dump or very tiny.

Look at Realtor.com

There are houses in that price range but they all look unfit to live in. You would need more money to fix it up.
