If they win the Superbowl, then there can be no argument. 19-0 has never been done.

No. The Patriots are not the best team ever. Early in the season I thought they might be but, their weaknesses are being exposed more and more as the season wears on. Namely: they don't run the ball well, and they don't stop the run very well. Don't get me wrong, they are a tremendous team and will probably win it all, but I don't think they are as strong top to bottom as the Niners with Montana and Rice, the great 90's Cowboys teams, or the Niners with Steve Young. There weren't as many free agent restrictions back then and it allowed for more dominant teams to develop. Those teams truly had no weaknesses and you just can't say that about the Pats. One Montana/Rice team, for instance, was 18-1 and won the superbowl 55-10. The Pats got some breaks in a few games and managed to avoid that one loss that the Niners didn't, so is 18-1 really that different? Do you think the Pats would beat the Cowboys or the Packers that badly in the superbowl?

No, but they are getting there.
The best team ever happened to be a tie between the Denver Broncos and the Pittsburgh Steelers. In the case of the Broncos...there were able to win two Super Bowls (after losing a string of them in the 80's).

They have to win the Super Bowl, but they also have to crush their opponents in the postseason like the 1985 Bears and the 1989 49ers did.

16-0 it was a good year for them. Maybe if they win the superbowl they may be one of the best ever. I think I will root for them.

If they win the Superbowl I would have to say yes. I still hate the Pats though.

Hardly. Even if they win the super bowl, they are not a great team. To be a great team, you have to create a dynasty. New England hasn't been on the planet long enough to do that. I bet they lose in the first or second round. The Giants didn't have the sac to win. Trust me, everyone will be gunning for the Patriots. Post-season is a different ball of wax. I hope New England gets pounced and sent to the emergency room or better yet, a nursing home.
