Look on ebay for the unlocking code. You can usually find out and get instructions for a couple of quid.
Alternatively you could take it to the police station and make sure it isn't stolen as that seems a likely reason for it being blocked so suddenly like that!

if it was working but now its not, it is probably been disabled by the phone company because its a stolen phone.
You can unlock a phone to make it use other brand sim cards but you cant unblock it if it has been reported stolen

The phone may be stolen.....the ID of stolen phones get killed
Take it back to the shop, explain where you got it.
ask them to check the phones ID
They might be able to tell you if it has been reported stolen
If it is a stolen phone, you may have to talk to the police.

This was a stolen phone. Probably stolen that day and sold on. You will never be able to unlock it.

the guy sold it to you then reported it stolen so the network would block it.. then he claimed on insurance so he won both ways.. they send whats called a burner signal which kills the phone.. i doubt you will get it done anywhere.... so never buy a phone from somebody you don't know.....the phone is useless now all you can do is sell it for spare parts and try to get some of your hard earned cash back........... unlucky you
