Ughhh, I absolutely hate bugs. They're always where I happen to be. Like the other day I was just sitting there watching TV, when this HEEUUGEE (and I mean huge) centipede crawled up my leg. I screamed and jumped all over the place. Then the next day, in the shower, there was this big black/red spider just sitting there right in front of my face. I screamed and ran out of the bathroom. Later that day, I was walking home from school and this fat bee stung me on my forehead! And once I was in the pool and there was this scorpion floating there. I ran away and tripped over a sun lounger.

Uggghhhh, bugs why are we so afraid of them?

Bugs you uh? Any way I would have to say the Camel spider in Afghanistan was my freaky encounter, that was the most hideous spider I ever seen, and it chases you.

I was walking through a field on a bright sunny day, when I stumbled into a huge spider web, walked right through it. That in itself, is yucky. But to my surprise, right square in the middle of my chest, and I was shirtless btw, sat a huge menacing looking spider. Scared the **** out of me. I found out later that it was nothing more than a Yellow and Black Garden Spider, but it truly did scare me.

Here is a photo of one that is very similar to the one that was on my bare chest....

Because of that experience, I have become fascinated with spiders. I study them and photograph them. Why should such a small (well relatively small) arachnid scare me? Ignorance, that is why. I now know a lot more about spiders and have grown to respect them. They do fascinate me.

Find out as much as you can about what scares you, and you may find that it is no longer frightening to you. I did, and it worked. Look it up, the internet is a great tool.

Here is a good start....

Wow! Where do you live, that you meet all these interesting arthropods?
I am not scared of "bugs," though I am careful with the more venomous ones.
I rarely hesitate to handle a bug. I wash my hands afterward, though, if I think it's been exposed to pesticides.
Recently I came to a mountain stream. There were dead leaves at the bottom, and among them a lot of worm-like creatures, kind of like a garden cut-worm, but under water, and I didn't see any legs. I picked some up, wondering what they were. I noticed that at one end was a weird kind of mouth, circular with something like teeth all around it. Like a lamprey.
Only later did it occur to me that they were leeches. I looked up pictures of them, and sure enough. They must not have been hungry, though.
