When its plugged in it shows a battery on the screen. Itunes doesn't acknowledge it. Of course it doesn't turn on.

I was just doing research the battery for my ipod, and here is a link to what I found.

try leaving it on charge for at least 3 hours then come back to me if you have more problems. Sounds like its completely flat.
