it shows she was a fan of democracy for others but not when it involved her own family

She left the leadership to her widower Zardari, who gave it to young Bilawal, with himself in a supporting role. This was Zardari's judgment call.
It seems that the name Bhutto has a lot of charisma all by itself. Kind of reminds me of a royal dynasty. I know the Bhuttos have been working for freedom and democracy; but the society is a few decades behind them.

It's her silly belief that the PPP revolves around her family that has led to bureaucracy and nepotism. That it took her to invigorate the Pakistani people in to doing anything sort of validates this. Her son should take a purely ceremonial role at the very most.

I feel sorry for the lad, he'd have a better chance if he joined the British Army and got posted to Iraq. Did she bequeath him those glasses too ?
