One afternoon, a wealthy lawyer was riding in the back of his limousine when he saw two men eating grass by the roadside. He ordered his driver to stop and he got out to investigate.

"Why are you eating grass?" he asked one man.

"We don't have any money for food," the poor man replied.

"Oh, come along with me then."

"But sir, I have a wife with two children!"

"Bring them along! And you, come with us too!", he said to the other man.

"But sir, I have a wife with six children!" the second man answered.

"Bring them as well!"

They all climbed into the car, which was no easy task, even for a car as large as the limo. Once underway, one of the poor fellows says, "Sir, you are too kind. Thank you for taking all of us with you."

The lawyer replied, "No problem, the grass at my home is about two feet tall."

No, but I once managed to persuade a lawyer to return his fee to someone I knew, on the grounds that the said lawyer had done sweet f.a. for his client. Mind you, that particular lawyer had the honour of being sacked by the late Saddam Hussein!

Yes! I never thought I'd be defending lawyers, but here goes. I reconnected with a high school friend earlier this year. I hadn't seen or talked to him since graduating in 1961. He became a lawyer, much to my surprise. When my planned vacation to Florida went belly up and I was going to lose my $510 plane fare, he invited me to stay with him and showed me the best five days I've had in years. He took off work (must have cost him a bundle) and drove me around south Florida. He saved my vacation. I know he is not rich, so he must be a pretty nice guy "for a lawyer". Oh G**, I hope he doesn't see this. He introduced me to Y!A.

That was cute! Working for the government for so many years I have known many lawyers and dated a couple. Usually the person an attorney portrays as a " lawyer" and the person he is when he's away from his "law duties" is very different. I am a kind, generous and compassionate person but when I was trying to locate someone running or when I had someone in court, I had to put on an entirely different face
sometimes.

Why, yes I have!
His grass was much better than the roadside grass.

Perhaps this peanut could have used him.

Two peanuts walk into a bar,
One was a salted.

Very good!

I do know one generous lawyer. He doesn't practice law anymore. He moved here from south. Calif. and became a poker dealer. I worked with him. Nice guy.

My solicitor charged me £8.00 once because I put my head round his office door to say "Good morning", it was the last time I did that.
