As the economy slows, the benchmarks and comparisons are to those of the 90's when Clinton was in office. Is this slowing economy considered a good thing by the left, as it gives us the same levels of prosperity that Clinton did?

The economy will have to slow a good deal more to see the Gold old days of the Clinton era.
Too bad many political partisans and hacks cant see that when you RAISE taxes, you stifle the economy.
Bush's tax cuts were only a FEW of the things he actually did RIGHT!
millions of jobs have been created, and income at the Federal Level is flowing in kind.
I care about money, jobs, taxes, and the economy... and I call it like I see it no matter who is in the white house.
This economy is good... NOT PERFECT.. but very good considering everything that has happened since 9/11.

I believe the economy improved remarkably under the Clinton administration. Having lived through it, I can personally attest to that fact. My life improved dramatically, as did many others, under the Clinton administration. It took about 3 years but that is normal.

Provide a link please, so we can see what is being compared to what. As you well know, figures can't lie but liars sure can figure!!
So this statement of yours only has to do with the housing market, nothing to do with jobs, income levels, ratio of worker pay to executive pay, etc; just the housing slump. After Bush made the "ownership economy" one of his key points (yeah, I have a good memory, don't I).
I was better off during the Clinton years, but he was no great shakes either; however don't try to say that Bush has us doing better because it's just not true for most of us.

yeah, the economy sucked under clinton.
i mean the stock market only TRIPLED under clinton.
