You are right about political sensitivities issues in Malaysia ...
Whether it is safe or not safe, depends on the statement / issues raised ... if it involves defamation of certain leaders / politician in our country, the defamer could get some trouble ... even if you forward something that is not pleasant, you could get into trouble (like those smsing about racial riot in Malaysia) ...
So, you have to weigh the consequences before doing so ...
I suggest you keep an open mind in everything as sometimes it is impossible to please everybody in a group/kampong/nation/world ... we have to look from a bigger point of view than our own tunnel view sometimes ... that is the fact ... you can check out the below website to discern any truth in them ...
Nobody is perfect and I sincerely pray we do not degenerate until we have wars, chaos etc. until it is not safe to go out to buy one loaf of bread ...

If Malaysians are into discussing politics, racial and religion, they'll hook up to a different website. I believe the users in YAM, including myself, are here to have fun and occasionally poke fun at some people and have a good laugh.
No doubt we Malaysians are sensitive so lets try to talk on issues that we find mutually appeasing like nasi lemak or chicken stories rather than widening the gap of discussing politics and race.

It is safe to talk about political issues in Yahoo! Answers > Politics & Government category but NOT in Y!A > TRAVEL > Asia Pacific > Malaysia category. Please note the word "TRAVEL"? Do you still have any questions? Anything you said will be twisted and used against you in a court of law or worse...violation notices and suspension or deletion of Yahoo! account.

OOOOO! Hoohooo! Now now, boys and girls. All the answres here make sence. Political, racial and religion is indeed a very sensitive issue in Mal. People needs to have a very good sence of humour to open up cans of worms. All i can say is, if you can't stand the heat in the kitchen, you can always leave to cooking to those who can stand it.. Afterall, it's a, self proclaimed, free country.
To Hushpuppies. You just got my thumps up. That is a mighty good and honest answer. 10 points. Jezz! you are indestructable. Poor husband, Whoooaaahahahahah!
Aiyoyo! i got a thump down. l am so scare, l am shaking all over.

"sensitive"? or not , i dont care.
I already named abdullah badawi as a fanny face ( muka macam chibai ).
If the people here or the government cannot take the heat, they should not be here or in the government in the first place and goes back to the "kampung"
btw, sensitive issues are just to protect those in power. If we cant understand what is the basic requirements of the word "democracy".Might as well we all acts like the 3 monkeys

You can try and as long as no one reports you then you will get some replies. I am on an adult forum (newspaper ) and as soon as you discuss political subjects you get lots of replies that unfortunately causes differences of opinions and that leads to heated exchanges( which you don't get on here) which leads to personnel insults and then that person gets thrown off the forum SO in answer to your question i think it fairly safe as long as its not too strong a statement
