I HAVE money and have taken EVERY precaution to NOT have any children at this time in my life...........so NO.
As for (future) and race of child, I think for the sake of the child, I would adopt within the US/white. Simply because I'm a white American and feel that this would be the easiest for the child while growing up, not having to answer questions like "why don't you look like your parents".. etc.

I would not adopt unless I really did want a child. I would sponsor a child or a program in another country that gave to needy families though. Miss Jolie actually took Zahara from a mother who thought she was only giving up her baby so someone would care for it while she got back on her feet. She believed when she wanted her baby back she could take her back. The adoptions out of the country are risky and so I would rather just sponsor.

If I had the money I would be inclined to adopt an entire village. Or, build a floating city for refugees with no good place to go back to. I'm one of the people who has enough knowledge to bring a third world village up to 1930s standards and technology, especially public health-wise. I'm good enough at what I do that I could successfully hire experts to bring them clear up to the 70's. And, there are experiments in the fields of energy, food production, rocketry and space development and government that I would like to try while doing it.

As a single father of one, yeah if I had that kind of money. I could go for a few more shin kickers to liven up the day.
And if I was gonna adopt (and had the money) it might as well help out kids from all over.
I always thought these kids from the countries with no agriculture would really appreciate all we take for granted here, like irrigation and a "generous" meal portion.

I have kids of my own already, so I wouldn't plan on adopting. But if I didn't have my own, I wouldn't mind adopting kids from all over...it would be nice to know that I was really making a difference in their lives.

Adopting kids takes energy to raise them right. I am not trying to score points by raising (ruining) other people kids. If I were to adopt, it would be to help someone I knew out of a bad situation. True charity always begins at home. The perverted humanitarian wannabes can play mommy and daddy and try to create meaning and perhaps redemption out of their pathetic lives. Adopting children from foreign countries makes up for the lack of character and failure to succeed in normal life like marriage, and a real family and working a real job, right?

I dont realy care about race. But it is much easier to adopt from a foreign country. They have less red tape.

I would adopt any child I'd like, and race doesn't matter to me. I think it's great what stars like Angelina Jolie-Pitt does for those children. =]
