If you do this, only one connection will work at a time, and the machine will be slower, as it will waste time determining which connection to use for each transmission. Use one or the other. For 2 wired connections to your dsl you will need a router with multiple ports, but most have at least 4.

You can connect wire from dsl modem to the router. Then you can have wire connected between the desktop and the router. Also you can have wireless from laptop to router. MOdem should be connected to internet.
In some cases, it may be that it is pp.... In that case, you will need to login first before you browse. Best is to contact the service provider.

i just want to say that you can have wire or wireless Connection in same time on your Laptop
but when wire connection is Connected the Wireless is turned off automatically to Speed up the Connection cause wire Connection is more Speed than Wireless
and this option is configured in Windows and nothing will be Slow
but if the Connection from differrent routers and have differrent IP rang and DNS , i Suggest that u can only use only one, or u have to make Some network Configrations to Enble Wireless in case the wire is disabled

You're question doesn't make a lot of sense. You need to clarify it.
