Not really. There are so many styles to choose from that will accomodate you tummy,I worked at a clothing store and I saw many thing that were suitable. However the maternity pants were more comfortable. If you have noticed there isnt a large choice of maternity wear out there. However some of the maternity wear, I sold to non- pregnant women because what they had was so adorable.Congrats and merry baby day.

I would, unless you want to wear stretchy pants and giant t-shirts all the time. They have a ton of maternity clothes that are really cute. Gap and Old Navy even have maternity clothing lines.

With my first pregnancy I never wore any maternity clothing, but then with my other pregnancy I had no choice. I couldn't fit into anything else.
If you can get away with not having to buy maternity clothing then don't waste your money, but if you need something to fit into better than wear maternity clothes.

You should wear clothes that keep you comfortable. Many women opt for materntiy clothes because of the expandable waistlines; this keeps them from having to buy a lot of clothes they'll probably never wear again.

I didnt wear maternity clothes until I got really big. I just got bigger sizes. But let me tell you....when you put on those maternity pants......you'll ask yourself why the heck you weren't wearing them months ago!

Go for whats comfortable but remember to get good support bras - they don't need to be maternity but get non-underwired ones.

If you want to, yes. If you don't want do, you don't have to. If you already have a lot of oversized tops (or can borrow from your partner) and pants with a stretchy waist, you should be fine.

If you like. You can also just buy clothes in bigger sizes as you grow.
